I fell in love with
afghans when I was a child. Our neighbour owned an Afghan hound kennel
and I spent there every free time. We travelled for racings, coursings
and shows. Almost all of these afghans were racing dogs. As I was getting
to know afghans better and better I decided to have my own afghan hound.
I was very interested in showing.
I got my first afghan hound in 1993. It was a beautiful blue female
Enny. She was really adorable female. A year later I bought my second
female Damira and since that time I have been living with afghans.
I share with them my bed, sofa and they are members
of our family. We traveled for shows and since that time I can really
say I have been showing afghans profesionally. I spend almost every
weekend at dogs shows in the Czech Republic or abroad.
I´m interested in shows very much as well as in good show afghan hounds.
Every free minute I read magazines about afghan hounds from all over
the world. I study the bloodlines, pedigrees and I can really say I
know almost all of the bloodlines worldwide.
At present I have been living with 3 afghans. One male and two females
who are the real companions.
After a long time of getting experience and coobreeding I decided to
have my own kennel and make my dream come true.
The kennel name is created of two main words. Dove+Enny.
Enny was my first afghan hound and this female really influenced my
life. Dove means her colour as well as her movement. She was moving
so lightly that she was flying like a dove.
This is the story how the DOVENY kennel name was created.
I know it would be a hard work to realise my
breeding plans. The first priority is to breed for quality not for quantity.
Breeding of healthy and quality afghans with
great body structure, wonderful type and typical great airy and ground
covering movement –This has been my goal from the very beginning of
my breeding program as well as kind character and typical temperament
of those wonderful dogs.
